F3 REYNARD 903 / TOM’S Toyota – CARSTEN’S era
May 4, 2015 by zaosan
As my ex-Georgoussis Reynard 903 is now in the right hands of the Danish racing driver Carsten Anderson, I decided to follow his oncoming achievements on a new post, because it is more than obvious, the car will live with Carsten unique days of glory.
Today I got this message from Carsten about the 3 races meeting of the weekend, which was the first meeting Carsten has entered the agile Reynard:
Hi Dimitris3 runsNr. 6,2 &12 x track record 🙂 first in run 2 and 2 in run 3.
What a car !!!
Well, I new from the car setting testing sessions that the Carsten/Reynard combination was more than promising, having smashed the historic Formula record while trying different adjustments, but on a race, parameters are less favorable… Anyhow, the explanation of the message is this:
There were 3 races this weekend.
On the first, Carsten getting to familiarize himself with the competition, finished 6th. On the second race, he finished 2nd… On the third he was 1st!
During the meeting, he smashed the track record of the HF category twice:), first on the 2nd race and then again improved it on the 3rd race that he won!
I called him to congratulate both him & his friend Peter for the immediate familiarization to this new racing category (previously they were racing a classic Porsche 911), the great preparation and the fine results. On the phone he said “what a great car! Incredibly fast and accurate, you have to be 100% committed – there were moments it was scary!
Ha! I would like to see the results when Carsten will feel totally at ease in the cocpit of the Reynard!!!
